Twelve Tribes
When Pastor Deb came to Ridge Manor she found a tired little United Methodist Church. There were only about 10-15 members left and they were somewhat wondering when the doors were gonna close. There were no children--no youth.
Right off the bat she began to show her love and enthusiasm for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  She organized Community work and block parties, also hundreds of doors were 'knocked on'. The newpaper picked up on some of the activities. People began to come, as much for curiosity as anything.   The attendance began to grow in number, children were invited--they came and so did their parents. Directors were positioned for the Children and the Youth.
The attendance grew-- 50-- 100-- 150-- Of course here in Florida, we have the Snow Birds coming and going so in the winter there is often little seating left.
As the Church increased in size it became apparent that more help was needed to accomplish the Lord's work-- So, in 2008 with a hand full of volunteers, Pastor Deb formed several work-areas of need in the Church. These "Tasks" were called Tribes and 12 of them were described.  They are listed below--
