To be a welcoming family reaching out to the weary, wounded and wondering, together becoming transformed disciples of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Ed was born in Martinsburg, WV and grew up on his grandparents beef cattle farm. He was an active member of the local United Methodist church as an acolyte, usher, and greeter and participated in the children's and youth ministries there. He was active in his local 4-H club raising market lambs and market beef cattle to show at the county fair, as well as volunteering in the community. He came to know Jesus as his Savior when he was 10 years old, and began to feel God place a call on his life for him to become a pastor. During his senior year of high school, he accepted God's call upon his life, and began to apply to Bible colleges with the intentions to enter professional ministry.
Pastor Ed attended Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA for his undergraduate education, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry. He began working at a local church as an intern while in college, and gradually became part of the pastoral staff. During this time in college, Pastor Ed met his lovely wife, Nicole, and were married on May 21st, 2011. Nicole has faithfully walked with him in ministry, and been his better half since the day they met.
Pastor Ed attended Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA (now Mission Seminary of Philadelphia, PA) and majored in Pastoral Studies and Theology. He graduated with his Master of Divinity degree.
Pastor Ed spent 5 years as a youth and family pastor, before being appointed as a lead pastor in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. It was during this time that all three of Pastor Ed's children were born, He is the proud father of Rosalee (6), Emmalyn (4), and Edison (2). They are the joy of his life, and he and Nicole love being their parents!
Pastor Ed has been blessed to lead and be a part of many missions opportunities. His first international mission trips were to Montego Bay, Jamaica serving the least of these for 2 summers. He has led hurricane relief mission trips in Pt. Pleasant, NJ, VA Beach, VA, and Wilmington, NC. He has led many trips to inner city Philadelphia, PA and to Berkeley Springs, WV. He has been blessed to go to the Holy Land twice, and see the amazing sights of Israel and Palestine.
Pastor Ed also graduated with his Doctor of Ministry degree from Mission Seminary in June of 2017. He majored in Biblical Hermeneutics and Homiletics. He loves to teach the Bible! Whether it be preaching from the pulpit, teaching a Bible study, or leading a small group, pastor Ed loves to share the good news of the Gospel message!
Pastor Ed loves the outdoors. He is an avid hunter (and aspiring fisherman now in Florida!) He loves to ride his motorcycles and ATV's! However, what he loves most is when he and Nicole can take their children on new adventures. The plan on doing a good bit of that now that they are official residents of the great state of Florida!
